CREATIVE COMMERCIAL INTERIOR DESIGN THAT ATTRACTS & RETAINS TRAFFIC
Embarcadero Capital Partners is a private real estate investment and management firm based in the San Francisco Bay Area. They collaborated with Interior Motions’ commercial interior design experts to create a creative, functional space for the tenants at The Almaden. The final product is a three-building, 416,000 square foot, urban campus featuring high-end finishes with panoramic views of Silicon Valley.
The San Francisco Bay Area is a competitive environment for real estate. Property managers understand they need to keep improving their spaces to attract and retain tenants. When we met with Embarcadero Capital Partners, they explained that they had been managing the space since 2015, but wanted to revamp the communal spaces to increase investment value and attract more tenants. Our team was brought on to lend commercial design expertise in the development of indoor and outdoor areas with the goal of creating a space where tenants could gather and live their best lives.
Our Solution:
Interior Motions worked closely with the project’s architect to add unique features, including: An outdoor area with a stunning fireplace and dining furniture. Lounge fireplace, chairs, and game tables. State-of-the-art conference rooms with all-new, ergonomic furniture. A training facility, conference facility, and collaborative spaces. Cozy, built-in custom banquets with comfortable, modern bench seating. We loved all the big windows and natural lighting in this space, which allowed us to choose creative, upscale lighting fixtures. Working with the existing architecture to keep the space bright, we brought in beautiful furnishings in light gray, natural brown, and white that added a touch of sophistication. Deep blue wall accents and bar stools, as well as lime green throw pillows and floor tiles, provided refreshing pops of color.
The Outcome:
The lounge—designed like a modern cafe—is a central hub for tenants, with fun game tables, flat-screen TVs, kitchen space, and versatile seating. The outdoor fireplace area attracts attention to the property with a cozy atmosphere that is ideal for a morning cup of coffee, midday business meeting, or evening cocktail. Interior Motions believes that “a job well done” goes beyond providing attractive-looking commercial interior design, but also means securing durable, long-lasting solutions that continue to deliver well for years to come. We provided Embarcadero Capital Partners with furniture that would withstand the test of time, backed by a robust manufacturer warranty and maintenance manual designed to prolong the lifespan of the furniture.
