Founded in 1980, Ferrotec started out as a company focused on FerroFluid magnetic liquid and Ferrofluidic® sealing products but has since expanded their services to meet the evolving needs of their customers. Now, Ferrotec is a world-leading manufacturer, marketer, and distributor of advanced material, component, system, and manufacturing solutions. They provide customers with advanced technology solutions that make their products work better, more precisely, and more reliably. With such a wide range of services, Ferrotec needed a headquarter building that enabled them to get their job done.

Our Challenge:

Offices attached to manufacturing spaces have to meet a multitude of needs that traditional office spaces don't. Therefore, it was important for Interior Motions to understand the nature of their teams' work and create a furniture solution personalized to them. They asked us to provide durable furniture that could withstand the test of time, incorporate some of their existing furniture pieces to cut costs, and establish a modern but welcoming aesthetic throughout the space. Interior Motions was ready to accept the challenge.

Our Solution:

Interior Motions has worked with several manufacturing companies in the past similar to Ferrotec, so the first thing we did was guide Ferrotec through a tour of previously installed facilities. This gave them an opportunity to see what aspects they liked, what they didn't, the size of the workstations, the look of potential solutions, etc. From there, we determined the best layout that optimized their real estate, placed teams that work together in close proximity with one another, and allotted space for collaboration. Finally, we selected furniture pieces that were backed by a 12-year warranty so that Ferrotec did not have to worry about damaging anything over time.

The Outcome:

The outcome is a brand new headquarter building that is equally functional as it is beautiful. The workstations and furniture look sleek and modern with bright pops of red livening up the space. Best of all, the project was completed on time and within budget!
