When Five 9 approached Interior Motions with the task of transforming their new space, Interior Motions gladly accepted the challenge with the help of the incredible architects at Huntsman.

Our Challenge:

What made establishing Five 9 headquarters in its new location a unique endeavor was the fact that the space came with an existing supply of furniture. This proved to be both a challenge and opportunity, as the Interior Motions team was able to utilize the space’s original, outdated pieces yet incorporate them in a way that was fresh and cohesive with the new design. This required an exceptional understanding of the client’s needs and an adaptable design strategy.

Our Solution:

In order to determine the best way to integrate the existing furniture into the new design, the Interior Motions team had to collect a thorough record of inventory. We then used the inventory information to create drawings and floor plans that helped Five 9 visualize the ways in which their old furniture could gain a new life. The execution of those visions necessitated close relations with the general contractor and the architect, as well as communication with a variety of manufacturers to ensure that Five 9 got the products that were right for them. We also installed a series of panels and space dividers so that employees returning after the pandemic could feel safer in their semi-private workstations.

The Outcome:

Thanks to the hard work from the people at Huntsman and our designers’ ingenuity, we were able to design a functional, practical, and sustainable space for Five 9 that let no furniture go to waste. In addition to being a jaw-droppingly beautiful space, it is also an office where employees can safely return to work and feel comfortable about their health. Five 9 is now happily on cloud nine.
