A DURABLE, FUN, & COMFORTABLE SPACE FOR PARENTS & KIDS
The Emerald Glen Recreation and Aquatic Complex in Dublin, CA—also known as “The Wave”—is a 31,000 square foot, state-of-the-art aquatics facility that includes both an indoor and outdoor pool, water slide tower, and splash zone with water play features. It’s certainly not your typical community pool—as soon as you walk in the door you notice the amazing energy of the space. Interior Motions was lucky to work with the City of Dublin and the Dahlin Group to provide the interior design for their wellness center, resulting in a fun, comfortable space for both parents and kids.
The Wave needed furniture that was not only comfortable for parents and kids, but water-safe and durable enough to withstand the test of time. Our resourceful team and the Dahlin Group worked to find long-lasting solutions that matched the building’s unique architecture and stay within the City of Dublin’s budget.
Our Solution:
We provided this large aquatic facility with a variety of different furnishings including colorful, cushioned ottoman seating in the front lobby, beautiful blue chairs around a U-shaped conference table, tranquil, green lounge seating, waterproof viewing room chairs for parents picking up kids in a swim lesson, and versatile breakroom tables on casters that could be rearranged as they saw fit.
The Outcome:
We worked closely with the architect to specify the right furniture solutions, making sure to meet the project’s timeline and budget needs. We found products with the best industry warranty, enabling the Dublin Aquatic Center to affordably maintain its space over time. The first-aid room was also redone to give the lifeguards and management more comfortable accommodations. The client, kids, and adults love the new space—and, thanks to our long-lasting solutions, they can continue to enjoy the facility for many years to come.
