According to locals, the San Leandro Public Library is one of the gems of the city. Between its inviting atmosphere, knowledgeable staff, and expansive collection of books, the San Leandro library offers something for everyone. They recently began their expansion efforts to better fulfill their mission statement of being the ideal “destination for exploration and discovery!” That is why they requested the help of the Interior Motions team along with the architects of Noll & Tam.
The San Leandro Public Library is a large building with numerous rooms, computer labs, nooks, and offshoots surrounding the large bookcases. One room in particular had the potential to be a spacious collaborative area but lacked the requisite furniture pieces to accommodate users. Interior Motions helped the library envision a cost-effective furniture solution that could also support a multitude of needs.
In order to achieve a functional and dynamic collaborative space, Interior Motions installed a wide range of furniture pieces. We brought in bar-height tables and stools, banquettes, mobile chairs, ottomans, white boards, and more. Despite the variety of unique pieces, they all worked together to create a stimulating learning environment.
In just one day, the Interior Motions team was able to install the entire space. Now, the patrons of the San Leandro Public Library can work collaboratively, study independently, and enjoy the new learning facility.
