Unchained Labs is a biotechnology company that buys and scales proven technology from smaller companies in order to bring promising solutions to the market. We helped Unchained Labs furnish their headquarters back in 2015, but they have been so successful since then that they acquired a beautiful new building in Pleasanton. We were thrilled at the opportunity to work with Unchained Labs again and transform their new space into a sophisticated research facility.
Unchained Labs wanted to incorporate some of the existing furniture from their headquarter building into the new building, which meant that Interior Motions had to thoughtfully blend the products together. Once we settled on a seamless design, the next major challenge was getting the furniture into the building without an operating elevator. Luckily, Interior Motions never shies away from a challenge.
Our Solution:
In order to get the seven truckloads of product onto the second and third floor without an operating elevator, Interior Motions got creative with the crane. We loaded the furniture into an apparatus attached to the crane and carefully fed the furniture through the second story window. From there, our team got to work setting up the space on a tight timeline.
The Outcome:
The end result was a beautiful new space that felt warm and comfortable yet sleek and modern. The client was delighted with the look and feel of the new office, and they held a celebratory opening ceremony shortly after installation. Another successful project with Unchained Labs in the books!
